BIOGRAPHY
She says she talks to angels, says they call her out by her name
♦ Harleen Quinzel was never normal. Not even at first. But she was close. Little oddities were kind of her calling card, though, and when she was a tiny little thing, she told her parents that the angels talked to her. They dissuaded her about it, and eventually she stopped telling them about it, but the gentle voice of what she always assumed was her guardian angel was always there with her. It was never menacing, never told her to do bad things, and certainly never scared her. It just wasn't 'normal', as far as everyone had ever told her, so she didn't talk about it. Not even to her best friends.

Isolation through her school years meant that when she went to college, she was malajusted for the socilization that was required. She wasn't bad at it, particularly, but everyone saw her as a little weird. And she WAS a little weird, considering. But she buckled down, found an educational path she enjoyed, and worked her ass off to become a psychologist. Dr. Harleen Frances Quinzel M.D. graduated at the top of her class, and it didn't take long for her to find a job at Arkham Asylum, where she would meet the man who would change everything for her.

Who's to know if your soul will fade at all, the one you sold to fool the world. You lost your self-esteem along the way, yeah.
♦ Arkham Asylum held the most interesting case Harleen had ever seen. Obviously, she knew of the Joker before she saw him at the Asylum, but her fascination with the man only grew once she was working in close proximity to him. She volunteered to help with his treatment, and their sessions quickly became a highlight of her work days. It didn't take long for him to manipulate her into doing things for him, and she found herself falling head-over-heels in love with him. She even started helping him escape.

Harleen quit her job, but not before she got Mister J a machine gun. When he and his henchmen got out, they trapped her, and Mister J came into the room, threatening her with electroshock therapy. She told him she could take it, and he spent his time making for sure that was true. There was a part of her that wondered if she surprised him.

Eventually, Mister J took her to ACE Chemicals, and standing above the vats, he asked if she'd die for him. She said yes without hesitataion, and he claimed that was too easy. Instead, he wanted to know if she'd live for him. She said yes, and dove into the chemical vats. It took him a moment, but he jumped in after her, and brought her out of the liquid. And she arose from it changed. Her skin was pale, her hair was platinum, and Harleen was gone. In her place was Harley Quinn. The Joker's girl.

Don't you dare look him in the eye, as we dance with the devil tonight

The moon gives me permission and I enter through her eyes. She's losing her virginity and all her will to compromise.

Lure you to my bed the happy ending is your flesh under my nails. No more fears and no more tears. You are my murder doll

I got the squad tatted on me from my neck to my ankles. Pressure from the man got us all in rebellion.

'Cause I'm broken when I'm lonesome, and I don't feeel right when you've gone away. You've gone away. You don't feel me here anymore.

Pictures framing up the past, your taunting smirk behind the glass, this museum full of ash-once a tickle, now a rash.

A little danger's never stopped me before. Seduced by hypnotic eyes and a kiss to die for.
